The hemp plant contains more than 400 active ingredients of which around 100 are only found in the cannabis plant "Cannabis Sativa L.". A huge potential which is also becoming increasingly important for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Hemp products with a THC content of less than 1% are not considered psychoactive. These are therefore not under the Narcotics Act and are legal within Switzerland and available with a minimum age of 18 Years. See leaflet of the Federal Office of Public Health.
Hemp products are offered in Switzerland as a tobacco substitute, concentrates, as well as oils or creams and are enjoying greater popularity through the past years.
The flowers of the hemp plant are still mostly rolled up in the old-fashioned way, in the form of a cigarette and smoked.
The possibilities that this plant is offering however is enormous. For
Nonsmokers for example it can be beneficial to use a tincture or oil to relieve their symptoms.
The flowers or their extract can also be vaporized. In this method the active ingredients are also inhaled but there is no combustion which does not produce harmful smoke.
Hemp in its raw form or as an extract is also added to a variety of foods.
